A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Biography
Hello there! I'm a photographer hailing from the North East of England. My journey into the realm of photography all began with a spark of passion that ignited during my early years, gradually evolving into employment.
My professional journey commenced by freelancing alongside seasoned photographer Gavin Forster. Working alongside with Gavin provided invaluable insights, allowing me to refine my craft and gain hands-on experience in the field.
Before working with Gavin my experience was mostly comprised of photo editing and beginner level photoshoots, as I started working with Gavin more I decided to join Newcastle College's BA course to expand my knowledge further. It was there I began to experiment more with my personal work refining my style and gaining my own clients along the way.
The work I enjoy most is portraiture as each work is something I can truly make my own due to my passion experimenting with different lighting.
ABOUT MY PROCESS
My Work
I like to take a different approach with each piece of work thinking how I can make them different and stand out from the crowd. It started with experimenting with different lighting techniques to find what I enjoyed most.
From this I found that I typically found myself using shadows and colour throughout my imagery. I often like to try to create images where the viewer can create their own narrative and conclusions, this can be from the colours to the sets I choose for each shoot.
A lot of my work does also involve the use of composites, I do this for my personal work and commissioned work. An example of this can be seen on this page.
