Tour Of Britain comes to Northumberland - Event Photography

Photo taken for the 'Tour Of Britain comes to Northumberland - Event Photography' story

Wow , being able to take photographs of Sir Bradley Wiggins in my home town of Prudhoe, Northumberland ! After the success of the Tour de France coming to our shores Last year I never thought I would be able to  do a bit of event photography of such an awesome event on my doorstep.

After its journey down from up the Northumberland coast coming to the town of Prudhoe was a bit of a change for the riders. The welcome they got was fantastic. the school children where out in force and the streets were lined with local people wondering what all the road closures were about. I have to say being born and raised in the town it was great to see so many people out supporting the teams, they needed it doing 117miles with a massive hill climb at the end!

I initially started my photography career shooting sports s it was a welcome return today getting the chance to shoot some of the riders in the Tour of Britain.

Now I have to admit not being a major aficionado of cycling but I do enjoy photographing the riders. My knowledge stretched to Sir Bradley Wiggins who i was lucky enough to egt a photography of as he came out of his motor home and also while being interviewed.

The rest of the event photography was an opportunity to test a couple of little tricks and get something a bit different to the shots you may see on tv later today. Its always fun to try and push the boundaries.

That is the thing I love about being a professional photographer, Even though I do deliver the clients requests I also try and create new and exciting images that push clients to look at more creative professional photography options.

If you are looking for some creative photography for your business please get in touch, i'm always keen to meet with clients to discuss how we can work together and out your business ahead fo your competitors.
